Dilly Dally Daisy by Mark Fearing- ADVISABLE

Fearing, Mark. Dilly Dally Daisy, PICTURE BOOK. Dial Books for Young Readers, 2015. $16.99. Content: G. Daisy is perpetually late. She can’t help it. She gets caught up in making sure that her stuffed animals can see her getting on the bus from the window or climbing up the stairs like a cat (that’s faster anyway, right?). When Daisy has to absolutely be ready for swimming lessons on time or she won’t get to go anymore, she tries extra hard to be prepared. Some roadblocks stand in her way, but she overcomes them. I loved how imaginative and quirky the main character of this book was. It was also a really good example of how a younger child may think or get distracted and how they can also try really hard to make the decisions that help them be on time. PRE-K, EL (K-3)- ADVISABLE.
