Eighteen different lesser
known animals from the prehistoric time period are described in this creative
picture book. Insects, fish and birds of
all different sizes are shown with a short 1-2 sentence interesting fact and
then at the end of the book there is a full paragraph that gives more information
about the animal. There is also a
description at the back that explains how scientists guess the information about
animals that existed so long ago. Steve
Jenkins does a great job grabbing readers with his fantastic art work and
interesting facts. This book isn’t my
favorite Jenkins book, but my boys were riveted and were asking all sorts of
questions.
