Blecha, Aaron. Goodnight, Grizzle Grump!, PICTURE BOOK. Harper, 2015. $17.99. There is a very grumpy bear in the woods who is named Grizzle Grump. It is the time of year in which he needs to begin hibernation. He tries to find nice, comfy, quiet places to settle down and rest, but every time he does forest animals make some noise and wake him up. He goes from place to place searching for the best hibernating spot and eventually comes to a cave where there are no other animals around to keep him awake. Grizzle Grump’s snores are so loud that any of the other animals that might be hanging around outside his cave scurry off in a hurry to get away from the noise. The pictures in this book really stand out. They have a cartoonish look with bright colors and lots of details. The storyline is engaging and keeps your attention throughout, with some repetitive language and actions that slightly change throughout the book. I was a little disappointed in the because I thought it should have built up to something a little more clever, but still a good purchase. EL (K-3)- ADVISABLE. Reviewed by Shay, School Librarian
