Krosoczka, Jarrett J. Lunch Lady
and the Video Game Villain: Lunch Lady #9, 96 pgs. Knopf Books for Young Readers, 2013. $6.99.
(Rating: G).
This book is about a lunch lady who works undercover at the school. There have been stolen electronics in the school. The lunch lady and her assistant try to find the thief. When they find out who it is, they have to do something to retrieve all the electronics.
This novel has great illustrations. The illustrations are a good mix of cartoon and reality. The story itself was mediocre. There wasn’t enough to keep my interest. I usually like the Lunch Lady series, so I was disappointed in this one.
EL - OPTIONAL. Student Reviewer: JL- age 10.
