PICTURE BOOK
This book is a
disagreement between number one and letter A.
Both think they are supposed to be the main subject of the book. While they are trying to prove to each other
that the book is about numbers/letters, different animals and objects show up
on each page with the sequential number and alphabetical order, really showing
that the book is about both numbers and letters. In the end a splotch of red shows up and says
that he heard the book was about colors.
The dialogue shared between number one and letter A is written in
dialogue boxes and it can get a bit confusing as the numbers increase. However, the overall effect of the book is
entertaining. My only concern is that
you would have to have a proficient enough student, who understands the order
of the letters and numbers to understand what is going on in the book. The illustrations are animated and the book
will entertain younger readers.
