On the run from their uncle, Dare, who thinks they two have "the solution" to the Plague, Thomas and Griffin and their friends are injured, running out of supplies, and to far out to sea to be ale to use their newly discovered elemental powers. Their goal: to get to Roanoke Island to rescue Thomas and Griffin's mom from the clutches of pirates. To make matters worse, there's a new adversary even more dangerous than Dare. Can Thomas, Griffin, and their friends defeat Dare, save the brothers' mother, and keep "the solution" safe? Wil they be able to master their power in time?

The continual world-building is amazing. The characters are likable and well-developed. Action packed from star to finish, this complex, well crafted story is impossible to put down. Fans of the series will not be disappointed with the conclusion of this series.
