This is a book of waring about what could be hiding in a puddle you are contemplating jumping into. Perhaps you will find friendly sea creatures or perhaps you will find alligators or untold depths or worse yet, a giant, angry rubber ducky. But we learn that if you are brave, you will probably find some fun. 

This book is enjoyable for pretty young readers, but nothing about it stands out. The illustrations are not particularly crafty, but rather fairly traditional cutesy. The notable moment is when the author imagines a giant rubber ducky, surprising in its ferocity.
