Peyton is a soccer player and has received an
invitation on her dream college soccer team.
One night at a party with her boyfriend, she finds steroids in his car
and when she confronts him he pushes her down the stairs in a rage. Peyton’s soccer dreams are dashed when she
injures her leg during the fall. What is
worse is that her best friend, also her boyfriend’s sister, along with other
friends don’t believe her when she tells them that she was pushed. Eventually, Peyton’s mom sends her to live
with her uncle so that Peyton won’t be harassed anymore by her ex-boyfriend and
his friends. Peyton finds love and
friendship at her new school and learns that she is stronger than she
thinks.
I totally enjoyed this book. Peyton is a likable character and her
chemistry with Owen was great. The
content is on page sex and a lot of swearing, which makes it hard to
recommend. I especially liked the author’s
note and advise to readers at the back.
