Legendary by Stephanie Garber - ADVISABLE

Garber, Stephanie Legendary (Caraval #2), 364 pages.  Flatiron, 2018.  $19.

Language: PG (6 swears, 0 ‘f’); Mature Content: G; Violence: PG (non-graphic beating)

Scarlett and Tella are headed to Valenda with Legend, Dante and the rest of the Caraval crew to celebrate Elantine’s Day, in honor of the Queen.  For the first time ever, Legend has decreed another week of Caraval, especially for the Queen.  Instead of being the observer and her sister’s prize, Tella must play, because she made a rash promise and it is coming due.  In trying to keep everyone safe, Tella will have to play desperately.  And this time, the stakes and danger are very real.

What a joy to step back into this world enjoy another round of misdirection, secrets, and intrigue.  While Tella’s final goal seemed a little bit obvious to me, the romantic in me was happy to follow the ride.
