Law Enforcement Robots by Mary Lindeen -ADVISABLE

Lindeen, Mary Law Enforcement Robots, 32 pages.  NON-FICTION. Lerner, 2018.  $20.

This fascinating book contain short chapters on the development of law enforcement robots, robots on the job, and the creation of robots. It features interesting “factoids”, creative layouts, lots of amazing photographs, and easy to understand text.

I learned quite a bit from reading this book and didn’t realize the extent to which drones and robots are being used to help people. It was especially interesting to read about drones with nets capturing drones in restricted zones.  I think students will be fascinated as much I was. This book could easily be read by 2-6th graders.
