This is a great book for 2-3 graders. It has longer chapters
and more complex plots and character counts than most early chapter books –but still
features quite a few illustrations. It’s a fun adventure and the only thing I
found jarring was that the puppy world and the human world exist together. This
has been a VERY popular series in my library with first and second graders
(though I think the reading level is a bit challenging for first graders so I am not sure they are reading and comprehending).
