This is a fact tracker companion to Balto of the Blue Dawn. It
provides details and pictures of the Dogsledding sport, including back history,
all about the dogs, the sleds and the Iditarod. But most of the book is about
other extreme sports like Ironman races, skateboarding, surfing, and more. Lots
of drawing and black and white photographs.
I usually like the fact trackers but this one was my least
favorite. I sort of just wanted one on Dogsledding. Dogs are a wildly popular
checkout and they would have really expanded the topic with lots more
information and details and maybe some dog training tips.
