Harper is a photographer for the school yearbook. She also has been matched with the star
quarterback, Brody, as the “Perfect Couple that Never Was”. As Harper becomes disenchanted with her
boyfriend from the yearbook staff, she finds herself interested in Brody. She wishes she could tell if Brody liked her
or not and finds ways to hang out with him.
This is a teen romance with the back and forth between the characters on
whether or not they can trust each other.
I thought the story line by itself was entertaining and easy to
recommend but couldn’t get over the amount of inappropriate content—sexual
references and very heavy make out (shirts off). The “F” word didn’t fit with the light
romance story either. Good idea, bad
execution when your audience is supposed to be teenagers.
HS-OPTIONAL.
Reviewer, C. Peterson.
