Christmas Farm by Mary Lyn Ray - ADVISABLE

Ray, Mary Lyn Christmas Farm, illustrated by Barry Foot. PICTURE BOOK. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2008. $6.99. Content: G.

When Wilma gets tired of a petunia garden, she and her 5-year old neighbor Parker, plant 62 dozen balsam seedlings. As Parker grows, so do the trees. What a great non-Christmas Christmas story. Even though the title and book cover artwork indicate this will be a Christmas story, it really is more about the cycle of trees and the friendship of two neighbors.
