Gall, Chris Substitute Creature.  Little, Brown, 2011.  $17.  PICTURE BOOK.  Ms. Jenkins despairs that her class will never get under control, so she calls in the big guns – the substitute creacher.  With eyes in the back of his head and a file full of object lessons and about the dire consequences for students gone wild, the Creacher attempts to win the children from their wicked ways.  This would make a great read aloud at the beginning of school and a good way to talk to students about classroom behavior.  EL (K-3), EL – ADVISABLE.
