Bake Sale, 160 pgs.  First Second, 2011.  $16.99. Language-G, Sexual Content-G, Violence-G.  This book is about an eggplant and a cupcake.  The cupcake owns a bakery.  Her friend, the eggplant goes to see his aunt in Turkey.  His aunt’s friend is a famous chef.  Will cupcake go to Turkey with eggplant? I really liked this book!  I liked the illustrations and that it was a comic book.  I also liked the book, Robot Dreams, by this same author.  EL.  ESSENTIAL.  Student reviewer: JL-age 9
