Rosenberg, Liz. Nobody, illustrated by Julie Downing. PICTURE BOOK. Roaring Book Press, 2010. $16.99. George is the first one to wake up. His imaginary friend Nobody tells him to make a feast. So with the help of Nobody, George takes out leftovers from the fridge, baked goods, and even dog food. When George’s parents see the mess they are surprised, but instead of getting angry suggest he help them make pancakes. Nobody starts to disappear, but George brings him back by realizing he would have been lonely without Nobody. The illustrations are whimsical and bright. Illustrator Julie Downing cleverly created the imaginary friend “Nobody” in black and white. EL – ADVISABLE. Samantha, Public Librarian.
