Aleca Zamm is back, this time trying to figure out more details about her time-stopping abilities. Good thing her Aunt Zephyr is still around. But Aleca has more on her mind than just her new powers; her birthday party at the skating rink is coming up, and her mom insists she invite her entire class, including her arch-nemesis Madison. This could be her best birthday party ever...or the worst of all time.
This is a fun follow-up to the first in the series. It picks up right where the first book left off, so the two books are best if read in order, one right after the other. Aleca is kinder this time, and easier to sympathize with. Although the ending still has a cliffhanger, it is less abrupt than in the first book. All in all, a nice follow-up.
