Three acquaintances have been tasked with a midnight delivery to a seriously spooky house hidden away in the dark forest. As each item is unpacked, the mansion’s librarian tells the trio the eerie story that accompanies it – a haunted piano, a moving sarcophagus, and a door that breathes.
Fans of the Haunted Mansion will recognize each of the items the librarian describes from the Disney attraction. I love the creativity that goes into building the backstory of familiar sights from the ride. The whole series is an easy sell to kids who like scary stories. Recommend this instead of or in addition to the Scary Stories books!
