High? Low? Where Did It Go? All About Animal Camouflage by Tish Rabe- ADVISABLE

Rabe,Tish High? Low? Where Did It Go? AllAbout Animal Camouflage. Illustrated by Aristides Ruiz and Joe Mathieu. Random House Children’s Books. $9.99. PICTURE BOOK.

In this Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library children are introduced to animal camouflage. “Camouflage helps (animals) hide. It’s the way they’re concealed, but these hidden animals will soon be revealed!” In this informational book readers learn about how alligators look like logs as they sit in wait, how little fawn have white dots on their fur and when hiding in a meadow of flowers they are harder to see, and how “some animals hide right in front of our eyes. They are hard to see ‘cause they wear a disguise!” The final page is a game of hide-and-seek where children can look for animals camouflaged right on the pages.

This is a great informational book that is fun to explore.  The Cat in the Hat makes learning about camouflage animals fun and interesting.
