Eleven years ago, six kindergartners got on a
bus and disappeared. Just as strangely,
one night five of the six kids reappear.
Even weirder, they have no memory of the time that they were gone and
they don’t know where the sixth kid is.
As the families and kids try to figure out what happened and who did it
to them, they start to form relationships and regain memories.
I really wanted to like this book. It was a compelling read and has a great
premise, but the ending was underdeveloped so when the reason why they were
taken is uncovered it seems like a band-aid fix. I didn’t relate to any of the characters and
was disappointed in the execution. The
violence alludes to a school shooting, but it isn’t described. There are a
couple of make-out sessions.
