Sleeping Beauty Illustrated by

A much loved princess
is blessed by the fairies of her land.
One fairy, however, issues a curse that when the princess turns fifteen
she will prick her finger on a spindle and fall into a forever sleep. In an attempt to counter the curse, one nice
fairy says that the princess will only fall asleep for 100 years instead of
forever. The day the princess pricks her
finger, the king and queen ask that the whole kingdom be put to sleep with
the princess for her hundred years. After
the time passes, a young princes breaks through the briers and into the castle
to kiss the princess on the hand and the whole kingdom wakes up together.
This is a retelling of the original Sleeping
Beauty. It is a very basic, simple
telling which makes the story feel incomplete.
The characters aren’t even given names, just their titles. The illustrations are adorable and the colors
are attractive.
