I Want a Bedtime Story! by Tony Ross - ADVISABLE

Ross, Tony.  I Want a Bedtime Story!  PICTURE BOOK.  Andersen Press (Lerner Publishing Group), 2016.  $17.99.  Content: G

A Little Princess Story, every night the king tells the princess a bedtime story, but tonight he’s away.  The Queen tries, but it isn’t the right story.  The admiral tells a fish story.  The General tells the story of a great battle.  The Cook tells a story about a naughty sandwich.  The Prime Minister and the Gardner give it a try, but the princess still wanted a bedtime story.  The Maid doesn’t know any stories, but she does know where the library is.  The princess finds lots of books, including the story her Daddy tells her.
The cartoon illustrations are unique and humorous.  Children and their parents will be able to relate to the little princess who wouldn’t go to bed until she heard her favorite bedtime story.  The plot is fun and the resolution good, but the conclusion is hilariously perfect.
