This book contains information about a variety of
insects. To highlight each insect, one page shows a large photograph and
provides information tidbits and the corresponding page features a comic style
layout with quite a bit more information. Some examples are the Giant Weta,
Glowworms and Fireflies, Termites, and Ants. The information is interesting and
geared just right for elementary age readers.
I think students will enjoy this book. It has an
appealing cover, many bright clear photographs, and comic style illustrations. Best
of all the information seems carefully crafted to not only appeal to student
readers but to provide just enough factual information without being overwhelming.
