Hidden Kingdom by Tui Sutherland - ADVISABLE

Sutherland, Tui, The Hidden Kingdom. Pgs. 296. Scholastic Press, 2013. $16.99.

Language: G, Mature Content: PG, Violence: PG

Free from the WaterWing Kingdom’s grasp, the five dragonets set out to find the RainWing Kingdom in hopes of finding a place to call home. Not sure what to expect based on rumors they were taught as children, the five dragonets are surprised to find a laid back race of dragons. They weren’t however expecting a deadly force to be stalking the dragons and the RainWing’s to ignore the threat facing them. As more and more dragons start disappearing, Glory and her friends set off on a rescue mission to try and save them-right back into enemy territory Will they succeed in saving the RainWings? Will they finally find a place to call home?

A great addition to the Dragonet Prophecy series. The main characters continue to be unique, loveable, and capable. Although the other dragons they encounter seem a little flat, the author more than makes up for it with her suspenseful, well-developed plot and suspenseful adventure. Readers who like the first two in the series and enjoy fantasy, dragons, mystery, and adventure will enjoy reading this book
