Readers see a giant words for the different colors set in a variety of landscapes, with accompanying text examples of objects in that environment that are of the example color. Such as the page for Red. We see a fall landscape with red fences, red trees, and red kits and of course, a giant word RED in the color red. The author adds some real quirkiness with the introduction of Green Peas in each environment, little smiling characters with legs and arms that play and have adventures.
This was a fun and creative way to present colors! I love that the author included colors like Silver! The ‘little green peas’ component is what really makes this book, it adds some eye catching silliness to the learning component and makes it more interesting and enjoyable. Perfect book for Pre-K.
