For a
squirrel who loves acorns, a giant stash is never enough, because there is
always another, better, acorn that he must obtain. Squirrel goes through some
fun and silly adventures to catch a wily acorn and just when you think he is
done……
I must
say, that I am a bit jaded in recommending this book, since another squirrel book character,
Scaredy Squirrel ,is my library assistant this year and I have been hiding acorns
all over the library. This book is the perfect accompaniment. I like the
underlying ‘grass is greener’ lesson for students. The illustrations are simple
and bright, and the story is fun and silly.
