A graphic novel adaption based on the play by William Shakespeare. Featuring a multicultural cast of the characters with scenery still set in the Verona of the past.

I understand the motivation in helping to bring the classics to life via the graphic novel medium; it speaks to this generation, etc. However this rendition was a bit confusing since they update with a modern cast, but still stick with the old scenery. Why not go for a full modern interpretation? I thought the cover was very intriguing and with much appeal, but the artwork inside seems sloppy and features a boring color scheme. If buying this will get you Shakespeare check-outs, then by all means, add it to your library collection. But if you like to collect adaptions and beautiful reprints for your home collection, this one isn't worth it.
