Five Little Monkeys Reading in Bed
Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, 2011.
$7.99 BOARD BOOK Content: G.
Five little monkeys want their Mama to read another story to them before
bed, but she tells them no and to go to sleep.
So the monkeys decide to read stories to each other. They read a sad story, a ghost story and a
joke book. They are too loud when they
are reading, so the mom has to get mad at them.
But when the monkeys go to check on their mother she is reading in her
bed. They tuck her in and everyone goes
to sleep.
This is a cute book about the
love little ones have for reading. It’s
the same monkeys from Five Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed and has the same
story format. The illustrations are cute
and the story has 4-5 sentences per page spread.
PREK-ADVISABLE. Reviewer, C. Peterson.
