Crowley, Cath A Little Wanting Song, 265 p. Alfred A. Knopf, 2010. $16.99. Violence- G; Language- R (37 swears, 41 ‘f’) Mature Content: PG. Charlie Duskin loves music. An outcast from the city, during the summer holidays she ventures into the Australian outback to stay with her grandfather. Rose Butler lives next door to Charlie’s grandfather, and hates her small town. When Charlie comes to town, Rose comes up with a plan to get Charlie to take Rose home with her after the summer is over. It’s a decent storyline, but the language isn’t really appropriate for anyone, let alone teenagers. The story is well written but it follows the same plot as many other books, there’s just better stuff out there! HIGH SCHOOL. NO- Student Reviewer: AL
