Isabel doesn’t feel much love from either of her parents.
When she is sent to spend the summer with her father, she accidently falls into
a strange adventure. Isabel discovers there are two worlds existing at the same
time. The other world, the world of the fairy is at war, seelie vs unseelie.
She is given the task of returning a necklace to the missing seelie princess
and discovers she can use it powers. Some friends (or not) help her along the
way, Button and Benjie. But the unseelie commander is hot on her trail and she
is new to navigating back and forth between worlds.
This is a graphic novel I would add to my collection in a
second. It has high quality and immersive artwork and a great story that
combines friendship, loyalty, and lots of interesting plot components. Upper
elementary students would love this book –younger could read it but might be a
bit confused.
