In this one-word picture book, all this puppy wants is -- you guessed it -- a treat. Unfortunately, none of the humans around seem to find feeding fun stuff to the dog all that important.
This is a cute story with very expressive illustrations. Because it has exactly one word repeated over and over throughout, any read-alouds with it would need to be pretty dynamic in order not to bore. All in all a fun exploration of character goals and conflict.
