Too Big to Hide by Stacy McAnulty - OPTIONAL

McAnulty, Stacy The Dino Files: Too Big to Hide,  104 pages. Random House, 2016. $9.99. Language: G (0 swears, 0 "f"); Mature Content: G; Violence: G;

Taking care of a Frank, a baby dinosaur, is hard work, especially when you can't tell anyone about it! Frank and his cousin Sam walk, feed, and clean Peanut. It's a lot of work to keep him fed and out of trouble! One day with his paleontologist grandparents, they find a fossil that is shaped like a peanut. It looks exactly like Peanut's horn except much bigger! What will happen if Peanut continues to grow?

I would recommend this adventurous story and cliff hanger to readers that want to imagine what it's like to have a dinosaur as a pet! It is well written and fast paced. This is book two of a series that teaches about palentology and exploration.
