Morales, Melita. Bryant, Laura J. Jam & Honey, 32 pgs. Tricycle Press, 2011. $15.99. Language-G; Violence-G; Sexual Content-G. This is story told by looking at two points of view: A little girl hoping to pick berries for jam; and a bee, needing to get nectar to make honey. We loved reading about the adventures, hopes and fears of both the bee and the girl. “Oh! It’s a bee, so loud and near, but if I just stand still, there’s nothing to fear.” Then later, from the bee’s point of view: “Oh! It’s a girl and I feel scared.” The illustrations are adorable. We enjoyed this book! EL (K-3) ADVSIABLE. Reviewer: SL
