Counting on Snow by Maxwell Newhouse

Newhouse, Maxwell.  Counting on Snow.  22 pages.  Tundra Books, 2010.  Content: G PICTURE BOOK.  This is a counting book of Northern American animals.  As the book counts down from ten to one, a snow storm moves in on the animals as depicted by the pictures.  Accompanying each picture is an alliteration telling the name of the animal.  Because the snow eventually covers the animals, some pictures are hard to see.  The pictures are pretty folk paintings.  Optional for K-3 Elementary.  Reviewer: C.
