BUYING ADVISORY: MS - ADVISABLE

AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE

Gavin, Natalie, Trevor, Randi and Scott are back for their 8th grade year. With no coach for the football team, Gavin may not get to play again this year; Randi suffers an injury at gymnastics, but she's also worried about her mother's new boyfriend - what if things get serious? Natalie starts a school news show, and Scott - well, he's still making questionable choices.

I'm always excited to see another book by Buyea, and the Perfect Star wraps up this trilogy nicely. While it's been over a year since "The Perfect Secret" Buyea gets the reader caught up efficiently and naturally. This is a series that does need to be read in order, so if you are buying, get all 3.
