While she has treasured every moment with her best friend, Sasha, when Sasha’s end from cancer finally does arrive, Raquel, a senior, realizes that even a full life time would have never been enough. Then Raquel gets a letter from Sasha – what!? Sasha had used some of her remaining strength to send Raquel on a scavenger hunt and to introduce Raquel to someone else so precious to Sasha – her older brother, Elijah. Turns out that when Sasha was adopted, Elijah ended up in the foster system instead. Now that two of them follow Sasha’s directions – and find themselves falling in love.
I love how Raquel’s journey’s unfold through Sasha’s messages from the grave. When you get to Sasha’s final message, you will have enjoyed it as much as I have.
