13yo Kyta wants to fulfill his destiny given to him by Deer Mother, so when the guarded egg of the World Turtle is suddenly stolen, he believes his chance at destiny has arrived. He plans to rescue the egg before it’s too late and the world is destroyed.
I enjoyed the world building and inclusion of native american myths and characters (Deer mother). I loved how the atmosphere was described, it made it feel nostalgic beautiful.
Non specific Native American/ First Nations people descriptions (copper skin, black hair)
