Silver gives a very detailed, but engaging look at the different threats around the world because of human-created climate change. 

Silver is even-handed and matter-of-fact about the challenges being faced all over the world, and looks into the causes of and possible solutions for at least some of the problems. I was fascinated and read everything from cover to cover.
