This is a prequel to the TV show,
taking place just a few months before the events of season one. Sabrina is
doubting Harvey’s affections and together with her cousin Ambrose concoct a
spell to find out. Additionally Sabrina has met a spirit in the woods that
makes some pretty intriguing visions for her. This book also offers different
character perspectives as Sabrina moves closer to her dark baptism, such as
Harvey, Tommy, Ambrose, Hilda, and more.
Let's establish that I am a fan of
the show (including the 90s version) and have seen all of the episodes to date.
Most of this book was a re-cap of things that a fan would already know. The
small insights and tiny plot were not really enough to make this a worthwhile
read. That being said, the writing was incredibly true to the spirit of the show,
and very well written.
