To sum up this book is basically a human body text book told in
comic book format. With a Skelton host, readers discover each system of the
body, and the host gains that system who by the ends becomes a fully formed
human girl. Includes little comedic moments and lots of fun facts.
I don’t think students would be fooled enough by the format to
make it through reading this entire book, unless they were really interested in
the human body. I do get a ton of younger readers interested, especially in
just the skeleton or the five senses, but this would take a 3 grade plus and I
would say that I have never had a request from that age group. The
illustrations are cute and often quite funny.
