Pip can talk to magical creatures, which is very cool except no
one else believes her and to top it off things always go wrong. After a giant
mess created after she had a chat with some unicorns, Pip is sent out of town. Fortunately she gets to stay with her Aunt Emma, who runs a vet for magical
creatures. Pip is excited to learn more about magical creatures and meet some
new ones. When there is an outbreak of fire causing Fuzzles, will Pip’s
abilities be helpful or just mess things up as usual.
This author has a knack with character building and authentic
dialogue. I thought the world was pretty goofy, but the quality writing of the
characters really carried me through and I found myself really enjoying this
book. I think 2-4 grade students would really enjoy this book, its not too long
but feels like you had an wonderful adventure.
