As Ben the baby-sitter is putting his charges to bed, he sings out his own version of "Good Night, Sleep Tight." The delighted children beg him to tell them another rhyme and another, so he dutifully recites the ones he knows, including "It's Raining! It's Pouring," "This Little Piggy," "Pat-a-Cake," and a variety of others.
Older children will likely already be familiar with most of the nursery rhymes, making this one redundant for many school libraries, but younger kids may find the tried-and-trues a lot of fun to hear. Bonus for those parents who expect to read it aloud every night for several weeks: the rhyme that bridges each snippet is fun to recite.
