After Afghanistan, Travis’ world is
falling apart. His girlfriend
dumped him for is own brother, his parents’ marriage is breaking apart. The nightmares he brought back from the
war will not let him find peace.
Then he runs into Harper – a girl he betrayed back in middle school – a
girl he ruined with words. She
sparks something in him that may help him work through all of the pain – if he
can find the words and actions to earn her forgiveness.
I absolutely loved this book – and I
would want to share it with many older students, if it weren’t for the content
ratings. This is definitely one of
those YA books that is written for the oldest YA readers.
