Author and photographer Richard Sobol takes young readers through the
interesting and lengthy process of creating silk in Thailand. He covers the
technical process of collecting the worms, gathering the threads, and turning
the thread to cloth. He also introduces us to the people he met and befriended
on his journey. Sobel creates an engaging look at a centuries old tradition.
This book is easily accessible for young readers, and would make a great
resource for school reports or classroom discussions.
