Tavares, Matt Henry Aaron’s Dream. Candlewick, 2012.
$7. BIOGRAPHY. PICTURE BOOK. Content: G.
In
the 1940s in Alabama, colored kids and white kids were not allowed to play
baseball on the same field. When
Jackie Robinson showed the world that the black man was good enough for their
game, Hank knew he had a chance, but he still had to work many years to reach
his dream.
This great picture book
is filled with just enough information for a baseball crazy kid. And now in paperback, it is worth every
penny.
