If you love stories with repetitive verse patterned after the nursery rhyme “The House That Jack Built,” you will love this great book by Millard. We enjoyed the storyline detailing the amazing things that happen in a garden as the seasons change, as well as the opportunity for the kids to join in the reading as the story repeats itself on every page. The illustrations are unique and have a fold-art similarity. The colors are brilliant. We loved this book. Isabella’s Garden could be used in a unit on seasons or gardening. Pre-K.
