Wild, K.D. Firefight, 336 p. Chicken House (Scholastic), March 2009. Violence: PG-13.
MS - ESSENTIAL
Freedom Smith survived his time in the illegal fighting world and is now in secret agent training at Phoenix HQ. Gypsy Freedom has a hard time submitting to authority, however, and manages to put Java, his (hopefully) girlfriend into mortal danger when he doesn't obey his mentor's orders. Freedom jumps at the chance to do some reconnoitering, but instead finds himself right in the thick of things - dangerous humans, mind altering drugs and so-called magical powers. If Freedom is involved, then large amounts of destruction are sure to happen!
Wild's character has taken a turn into the world of mystic powers. For students who like their fighting wild and dangerous, this will be a prime piece of reading. Muchamore fans will love it.
