The Color of Darkness by Ruth Hatfield - OPTIONAL

Hatfield, Ruth The Color of Darkness (Book of Storms #2), 324 pages.  Henry Holt (Macmillan) 2016.  $17.

Language: PG (6 swears, 0 ‘f’); Mature Content: G; Violence: G.

Danny has gotten very reluctantly dragged back into the fight against Zadoc by Catherine, a street kid who really wants nothing to do with the sniveling coward.  The only reason Cath is involved at all is because Barshin, a bunny-like creature from the Chromos has shown her the possibilities of that world of imagination.

Danny has become even more whiney is the next book in this series.  The only redeeming facet of this book is Cath – she is a breath of much needed fresh air.
