A compilation of stories from four of Wilder's Little House books,
this short chapter book focuses on the various Christmases that are featured in
the original series. From an early Christmas in the Big Woods to the year Mr.
Edwards met Santa Claus, these stories are still wonderful and arranged in a
lovely vignette style that will make it a big hit at the holiday season.
I
really enjoyed re-reading these stories and the interspersed illustrations are
very nice. The reading level is great for elementary readers and I like the
smaller chapter book for readers who might not be ready to tackle the original
series. This is also a great choice for anyone wanting to add to their
Christmas book selection.
